SELEUKID KINGS OF SYRIA. Seleukos II Kallinikos, 246-226 BC. Tetradrachm (Silver, 29 mm, 17.00 g, 10 h), uncertain mint 44, probably in Mesopotamia. Diademed head of Seleukos II to right. Rev. ΒΑΣΙΛΕΩΣ - ΣΕΛΕΥΚΟΥ Apollo standing left, holding arrow in his right hand and leaning left on tripod. SC -, cf. 741-742 (with reverse monograms) and pl. 35, 742.1 (same obverse die). An apparently unpublished variety. The obverse struck from a worn die, otherwise, about extremely fine.
